I think the Nerf ball factory had a surplus of rainbow-striped foam eggs (perhaps from the HRC's last Easter celebration?), and some quick-thinking entrepreneur decided to make them into cat toys. The foam is super lightweight, bouncy, and rolly. My only concern is that our kitty will eat/ingest the glued-on ears, nose, and tail. While it's not her favorite toy -- nothing quite compares to her catnip mice -- this happy rainbow mouse has been holding up fine.
